Emerald Appliance Repair was established by someone respectable a long time ago and ended up more recently in the hands of a strong, pioneering, hardworking immigrant and her demure husband. Instead of retiring the good name of the company, the previous owners were duped into selling the business to these two, who carry on quite foolishly even with the business name plastered all over the back of their vehicles when not arguing about what font to use on their Web site.
On various occasions in 2020 Adam T. Stevens drove by the wrong person's house late at night honking the horn after leaving a neighboring house. Everything that is done and said in front of this person's house is recorded. Stevens was reported to the authorities. One day while Stevens and his wife and children were there, music could once again be heard coming from this lot and another sample of it was manually obtained with a camera for evidence in anticipation of litigation.
Someone there noticed and called out, and another asked if the man gathering this evidence was a pervert, even though his camera had not even been pointed in their direction before this. Then, some children who were there with Stevens and his host started chanting "He's a pervert! He's a pervert!". A picture of the vehicle the Stevens family showed up in was obtained and it was noted that there were large decals on the back window spelling out 'Emerald Appliance Repair 559-229-7799'.
A cease and desist letter was sent to Adam Stevens, warning him he may be sued and that a Web site showing what has been happening may be uploaded and publicized if he did not apologize and if he did not agree to stop behaving in this way. Stevens and the party that was recorded playing music elected to deny everything and responded with their own cease and desist letter. Recently, after Stevens' vehicle passed by honking again, phone calls to the CHP and Mr. Steven's attorney were placed. Promptly afterward, this site went live.
